Can't give too much credit to Haye because he was a KO artist and was fighting a guy who had never fought in the pros at heavy. Haye still thought he had chance to land something off of the healthy leg. Don't forget before that first fight everyone thought Bellew was getting badly KO'd.

Knowing David Haye that injury was really a bit of cramp.

The beating Jake LaMotta took for about 5 rounds from Sugar Ray Robinson in the valentine's massacre

It might sound keyboard warriorish for me to say this but I don’t think a broken jaw is as bad as a torn Achilles. Many boxers have had broken jaws before and boxed on. Ricky Burns against Beltran and Quigg against Frampton and Valdez. I think it was Quigg who said that he never even felt pain against Frampton.

A torn Achilles though is a career ended for a lot of athletes. With a broken jaw a fighter can at least still attack and defend themselves. With a torn Achilles alongside the excruciating pain, a fighter can barely stand and cannot transfer any weight onto the affected leg. Haye couldn’t use any movement and couldn’t put anything on his punches and he was in with a KO artist at at 210lbs.

Haye’s situation tops a broken jaw as far as I’m concerned.

I'd put them as even, but Ali was for more rounds, I'd give it that personally

I know David Haye is not this forums darling but Jesus, the heart to fight on with that standard of injury for multiple rounds is something else.

Not only excruciating but it literally gave him a 1% chance to win but still kept going till he went out on his shield

Haye with his achilles was horrendous

My favourite will always be the marquez pacman 1 though ... After a first round like that I can see alot of people just staying on the deck and saying I'm done ... Not a bit of it . ..im biased but marquez heart made him my favourite boxer

In the 4th fight as well . He was getting a ****in hiding
