I just received news about Rigondeaux-Cordoba is all said and done. I know rigo had about 500 amateur fights but this is the pros and this has got to be one of the biggest risks of the year for a prospect. What do you guys think have been some of the biggest risks in boxing? To name a few...
    Vargas Vs Trinidad
    Julio Vs Cotto
    Khan Vs Prescot :yep

Spinks vs Ali - Albeit and old, but still tough Ali. Considering Spinks has only 7 figths beforehand it's still a step up.

Not bad... but let's pick... Billy Thornton of the 0-0 guys Sugar Ray Robison faced and I win! :) I doubt he stepped up from any sort of amateur achievement.

My home boy, former undisputed light middleweight champ Denny Moyer, made his professional debut against 24-15-4 journeyman Jimmy McCoy, and fought for the welterweight world title less than two years later.

Manny Pacquiao moving up a division to face off against the best Featherweight in the world and consensus P4P number 3, Marco Antonio Barrera. Not many gave him a chance.
