Pavlik-Taylor wasn't a big upset. Pavlik knocked out the highly regarded Miranda in the fight before this fight so he was considered a live underdog. I think Taylor was something like a 2:1 favourite. Klitschko-Brewster was a big upset.
yeah i remember watching that live. That was the first time I saw Maussa fight and I thought he was crazy with his weird style and punching angles. Then i could sense he was going to land something big and soon enough he did and the rest is history
Baldomir over Judah ... Judah was undisputed champion ... only lost 2 fights (Corey Spinks & Kostya Tszyu) both undisputed champions of their respect divisions. Baldomir was a journeyman who was on an unbelieveable win streak but had 11 L's under his belt and was only supposed to be a tune up fight en-route to his mega fight w/ Mayweather.
Taylor was a 4:6 fav.I would consider bradley over witter as a big upset, nobody really knew anything about timmy.but he gave a supposedly slick fighter in witter a boxing clinic, witter was a 1:10 shot as well.
Wlad-Corrie Sanders was a bigger upset than Wlad Brewster imo. Also Tarver-Jones II wasn't such a big upset. Jones struggled in their first fight, so it wasn't impossible that he should lose the rematch. I still had RJJ as a favourite and I was shocked to see Roy lose in such a devastating fashion, so yes it was an upset but not the biggest one. Also the Johnson-RJJ fight was an upset, but since Roy got knocked out 4 months before another KO wasn't totally unlikely. Taylor-B-HOP was a huge upset, but with much controversy, Hopkins won that fight in my book.
