Can you think of any massive upsets that have happened in the boxing world? Lloyd Honeyghan against Don Curry is one - Maybe Calzaghe Lacey is another. Any ideas?
Douglas over Tyson easily. Braddock over Baer. Randall over Chavez. Trinidad over DLH. (on a different level of upset so to speak)
Tyson/Douglas was the shocker. No one was shocked that Hearns right knocked out Duran, or that Curry was stopped by McCallum. But Douglas who was stopped by Tucker should not have beaten Mike.
Douglas - Tyson, why would you even mention Calzaghe - Lacy? Lacy was never good to begin with, just extremely overrated while Calzaghe was underrated ... in hindsight , it wasn't much of an Upset... Lacy is terrible
Schmeling over Louis. People thought Schmeling was just another past-prime ex-champ to be knocked out like Carnera and Baer before him. Oh, were they wrong.
From 1990-2010 I remember watching these 5 live will never forget them. #1 Buster Douglas defeats Tyson 1990 #2 Manny defeats Barrera 2003 #3 Nonito Donaire defeats Vic Darchinyan 2007 #4 Corie Sanders defeats Wladimir Klitschko 2003 #5 Bernard Hopkins defeats Tito 2001
