Curry v honeyghan was one I remember.Did Kirkland Laing not beat Duran,Im sure he did but it may have just been a close fight.I remember people talking about the fight but cant remember if he won or not.Tyson`s first 2 defeats were both shocks.Everyone knew Tommy Morrison had a suspect chin but the way Mike Bentt bombed out in a round was certainly not expected.

Most people did have Benn, but there was always a feeling that the more skilled and thinking Watson was in with a good chance.Benn had huge hype in the press and Watson never really got that much coverage. It was a shock to many when Watson did not fall apart under Benn`s early onslaught. The fight went out on free TV and almost everyone had seen and heard of Benn.I think it came as a shock to many that Watson could even make it past 3 cos they knew nothing of him. When you look a little deeper though it was a very well matched fight and both were taking a risk in taking the fight.

Not to harp on Tyson but Tyson losing to Kevin McBride was quite a shocker, as well.

We all knew Tyson was in decline, but had no idea he would lose to someone like McBride.

first when we say upset, it means that the underdog beats the favorite. the lower his chances of beating the favorite the higher the upset rating. shall we consider the fact that a favored fighter doesn't train well simply because he understimates his opponent? then, he gets his ass whooped... e.g. barerra and oscar understimated pacquiao, hence did not prepare properly for the fight.
