In my time which about thirty years, I would have to rate David Tua as the one fighter that would if he ever became champion would fight them all and give a us a real ride.
Tyson had three chances or more to avenge his losses but he couldn't he was good for his time and his style which his a energy fighter once he peaked out he had no defense.
Ike Ibeabuchi only because he looked the dogs bollocks, but we will never know for sure will we **edit** sorry mate i typed this as you posted
Ike had a chance also but getting back to Tua he just not mean enough we've knock guys out early and late but some reason he can't keep fire going enough to keep the heat going.
Floyd Mayweather!!! Just kidding, although I am certain someone will think that. I beleive this honor goes to Mike Tyson..he did acheive a lot in his career, but severely wasted his talent with drugs and focus issues, not to mention the jail time. He was a once in a lifetime athlete, who could have been the best to ever grace the HW ring, but alas, we will never know how truly great he could have become. I think his accomplishments post Cus, Post Rooney and post prison jsut illustrate what a true force he was, even in his dimished state. Thanks for the ride anyway Mike!
Andrew Golota. Looking at his movement, speed, and boxing ability in the Bowe fights, you'd think he could have easily become champion for years. Nope.
I don't think you can call Tyson and Bowe "wastes of talent." They won and held world titles and fought in some great fights. Neither could sustain that level, but they did reach the pinnacle of the sport. A waste to me would be someone who absolutely squandered their abilities and never became a champion.
Ike definately!!! tyson but he he accomplished alot could have been more tho.. I think James Toney.. although i know he wasnt at his best in heavys, He was suprisenly pretty good if he wouldnt get tired so much..FATASS!! i thought he beat PETER. And hes ranked 2nd!!!!
Tyson and Bowe did not live up to their potential because of their troubles outside of the ring, but regardless, they accomplished quite a bit. Tyson is a sure HOFer and a prime/motivated Bowe is highly regarded among boxing fans and will also be remembered for his wars with Holyfield and Golota. I think Ike Ibeabuchi is the biggest waste of talent.
