Tyson said he was a failure, but he was delusional. He was the best p4p fighter at one point, which was rare, maybe even unique for a heeavyweight.

My vote goes to Edwin Valero and Tony Ayala Jr.

We might have to add Gamboa to this list soon...
Dude is having a "Joan Guzman" type last few years.

    Chad Dawson.

The guy has all the physical skills to be a great fighter, but he doesn't have the mental toughness or the mental discipline to be a great fighter.

He looked unbelievable against Adamek, he looked like the second coming of Michael Spinks, and than later in the year he fired Floyd Mayweather Sr two weeks before a scheduled bout, he hasn't looked the same since. It turns out that Dawson has a habit of switching trainers all the time, one of the reasons why he hasn't improved as a boxer since the Adamek fight.

I always thought Mark Breland could've done more. I never saw him fight, but Manny Steward often said Bernard "superbad"Mays was the most talented fighter in his stable.

Truth be told, we will never know who the biggest waste of talent was. For every talented guy you see on TV that you think "man if he got his stuff together he would be a champ", there is some guy out there who has more talent but couldn't even rise to the point where he would be on television.

my vote is Floyd mayweather jr ...... before you start calling me a ******* just listen.
If Floyd had gone ahead & fought the guys he has ducked he may well have been STILL undefeated. But he'd also have EVERYONE in his corner He'd have no guys like me berating him callin him coward etc. Even if he'd lost a fight or two his legacy would be a whole lot better than it is now
