I have just one question for you dumbo Where were you while all that was happening??? I was in The Home of Champions gym in Dallas along with Ike , Curtis, Jay etc but you think you know better than me lol Lewis won both fights against Holyfield easily the draw dec was ludicrous Lennox fought Grant because t the time he was regarded as the future champ. Ruiz was the laughing stock of the HW division. If Lennox had fought Ruiz just imagine the cries of cherry picking. Ruiz was ridiculed till Jones jr fought & beat him then he suddenly became a legitimate HW champ :rofl
Byrd & Ibeabuchi fought within ONE week of Holyfield Lewis-1. After that fight was considered a draw, a rematch was set for November. In July, Ibeabuchi was arrested. The Lewis Holyfield winner had it stipulated in their contract that they must fight the WBA #1 contender, which was Ruiz. Ibeabuchi was not in the mix for the fight.
First person I thought of. If he actually continued to train and kept the right team around him, he would have accomplished so much more.
Mike Tyson single handedly. He sold himself short. Given the talent he had he should have ended his career and his most important fights on a better note
He never had any decent defensive skills, nor was anything close to an elite talent. His distance measuring was never good as well. Byrd was just too small for him. Ike's chances of taking over the division or competing with the Klitschko brothers were always zero.
Corrie Sanders, but there are so many that fits into the category the list would require at least tree pages.
James Kirkland is at the top of the list. Andre Ward as well. His inactivity is killing his potential legacy. This guy is one of the best boxers in the world, but he's stuck fighting in court.
Tocker pudwill.he had all the talent in the world,he took on cal age on 2 weeks notice, got beat and was never the same again.i often wonder just how great he could have been
