Davidson should have been heavily embarrassed just loosing to Robbie Epps, Hagler was probably watching shaking his head.

Also, I would like to add the talented Katsuya Onizuka.

Skilled WBA Super Flyweight champion, very exciting. There is a good documentary of him coming over to America, and sparring and training with Orlando Canizales. Some of the sparring sessions were great.

His career had to end prematurely due to eye problems, which lead to the loss of his last bout, and had contributed to some harder performances.

JCC also. Once he beat Taylor and became a super star he called it in. Dude went full rock star mode.

Yes he won some belts he stopped fighting in his prime. That is criminal to throw away that kind of talent. When he did eventually resume his career his fire was gone and he looked to be maybe 60%. He should have been the one schooling Chavez instead of Pea.

At another good party Laing fell off a balcony landing head first on the pavement, he is now being looked after by his relatives!

Chavez was simply better than Camacho and at 135 Julio was much quicker than at higher weights, he was too good at cutting the ring off, the Rosario fight proved Camacho wasn`t a smart enough fighter to not get off the ropes against a master like Julio.

Surprised one has mentioned Gerald McClellan. He had all the physical attributes to be close to unbeatable IMO (speed, power, chin, length, ferociousness). Just needed more polishing such as defense and stamina.
He was a really talented fighter that never reached his full potential.

Maybe but even by then Hector wasn't the fighter he was at 130. Many people will tell you that Camacho had the quickest hands they ever saw. He threw combinations then. He could of done to Chavez what Taylor was doing as far as the blinding flurries.

    Bumphus never was a talent
Ramos didnt waste his talent; he couldnt take a shot
Davison was lazy but even so, how far could he go with Hagler around? maybe he was better off

at 130, its safe to say Chavez wanted no part of Hector and gladly took a back seat to him

in the mid 80s, Hector would have out sped young Chavez and had him confused with speed and angles. You think Pernell had him confused, Hector would have been much worse

I agree. Hector should have been a force [ast the age of 30 but instead became a punching bag

Well first he became boring. He didn't fight often. Long layoffs and being a knucklehead. He was still managing to win until 91.

Corrie Sanders - he had a great offence but lacked stamina and defence.

    Riddick Bowe.
