30 lb's seems almost impossible... the limit of the human body seems to be around 20-25lb which is still crazy and people have tried to exploit it (Chavez, Rios, Broner etc) The average or norm from all the weigh in's I've seen is ~10-12 lb's. Gotta be careful with fight night weight alot of them overestimated or outright false...recent example showtime they gave Matthysse's fight night weight as 163lb's lol...was 156 at the very most (Probably had him just quickly step on a pair of scales while fully clothed as he entered his locker room for pre-fight prep)
Yeah, you're right. IDk why IO thought it was dorin. Hell Gatti was probably heavy in that fight too. I liked Gatti but the Gamache fight was ridiculous.

I already have a thread like this somewhere else and the most weight I have recorded was Canelo's brother, Ricardo Alvarez vs Sergio Thompson He weighed 135 at the weigh in and weighed 1561/2 on fightnight which is a 21.5lb increase
How do they gain so much weight so quick. What do boxers do to rehydrate. May sound daft question but i dont know
We they "simply" dehydrate in the days before the fight, hot the sauna to take off the last few lbs. Eat less in the days before. that takes the weight off. Then they simply rehydrate and get a few good meals into them in the 36 hours between weigh in and fight time. They can even hook themselves up to an IV when they get off stage at the weigh in. These guys all have pro nutritionists and trainers on hand, so they generally know what they're doing.
I'd love to know how much Guillermo Jones weighed for the Lebedev fight, he looked like a decent sized heavyweight
That's what the rumor was, but he refused to step on the HBO scale that night. I think the most he ever rehydrated on record was to 181.
