If you were putting together a list of about 20 guys together, who would make your list? Contender or not, it doesn't matter. You can include 140-pounders, as well, if there is good reason to believe it would have carried up.

If you could list them in order, please do so.

Admittingly, I'm not very schooled on the history of all the welters but...SRR anyone? Any other?

From the year 2000 until the present time, please. Randall Bailey, for instance, was someone who could put your lights out with single shots--especially the right hand.

No doubt Trinidad was, but by 2000 he had moved up.

I think it would take a lot of time to make this list definitive, I'll at least list some names in no particular order for a bit of insight, just in case someone that isn't as lazy as me wants to peruse a top 20 list

    Marcos Maidana
    Felix Trinidad
    Manny Pacquiao
    Ricardo Torres
    Miguel Cotto
    Kell Brook
    Ricardo Mayorga
    Lucas Matthyse
    Randall Bailey
    Zab Judah
    Vernon Forrest
    Ruslan Provodnikov
    Sugar Shane Mosley
    Oscar Dela Hoya
    Enrol Spence Jr
    Kell Brook
    Keith Thurman
    Victor Ortiz
    Juan Urango
    Danny Garcia
    Mike Alvarado
    Brandon Rios

Admittedly the list is relatively shallow, but I'm sure I've missed a few names that should be on the list. Also a lot of these guys made there names as big punchers from KOing over matched opponents, so it's a pretty hard list to put together. Maybe a little look at Rummy's top 10 year end lists might get a few cogs turning. I'm a little bit dissapointed I put Juan Urango in as it felt like a bit of a cop out.

Bailey and Mosley are the 2 that jump to mind if we're considering Trinidad north of by then.

A lot of good mentions here, though it shows there haven't been many one-punch artists. I'm surprised Kostya Tszyu's name hasn't come up.

Because he was a light-welterweight! Your criteria is a bit confusing.

Was Mosley really a big puncher at 147 ? Definitely respectable but not sure how big .. although he did damage against Margarito for sure ..
