http://www.fightnews.com/?p=41754 havent seen Brinkley since the 1st contender is he any good?.Bika stripped of IBO SMW title.the IBO has no mandatorys?? does this mean if you're an IBO champ you can fight anyone you want no matter how good or bad??
I did know the base rules but forgot...go to the website and take a look :good Or just call Phil Austin....in the phone book under 'mean old *******'
To be honest Stiff i ain't seen anything of this Brinkley since he lost over 8 rounds to Robin Reid about two years ago in a Yank v Brit contender type card . He has been winning since then according to Boxrec.com but his comp ain't been at Bika's level . easy night for the fouling scorpion imo .
The IBO can enforce the champion to face his mandatory but rarely do. They prefer to have fights like #68 v #45 for a vacant title or the champion to face a guy moving up from two divisions below...those type of fights
Brinkley is coming off a war against once hyped Curtis Stevens. Brinkley won in what some are calling a foty candidate. Stevens tried to walk through him but Brinkley prevailed. Not an easy fight for Sakio, especially since he has been so inactive.
The IBO had a decent reputation and format but recent turns of events have placed that particular ORG below that of European Championship Standard and on par with the Commonwealth title . IMO .
Curtis Steven's ? Like i said i ain't seen him but will track that one down . Thanks Trumpton ....:good
Hey Jet, old Phil 'Clown Shoes' Austin would love reading your comments - NOT! Are you going to the Grange fights at La Montage on Thursday night?
