Dont know if anyone has covered this...but what happens if Bika wins. He claims the WBA Title and yet if results go a certain way wont have enough points to make Semi's. How stupid is that
You mean Ward mate. Bika will get a serious beating. At this point the tourny is pretty seriously compromised so i don't care so much about the structure, it would just be nice to see another decent matchup or two.
This 6 man tournament has been a failure imo. In future tourmaments should just be 4 man with semi finals then final.

I agree Francis...it should be only a 4 man knockout tournament, unless u have an incredibly strong division & HBO/Showtime put in a tonne of money u could i guess get a 8 man knockout tourny which could be great at some divisions like the powerful Featherweight & Light Welterweight divisions.
The machinations of boxing has meant the tournament hasnt flourished like it was meant to. But is it a joke? Forget the "tournament" concept, in a relatively small period of time, we still got to see: Ward v kessler Dirrell v froch Froch v kessler Abraham v taylor Abraham v dirrell Now we get bika v ward. How else would you have got to see all those fights in the past 12 months? I wouldnt say the tourny is a joke in that regard. The concept was always going to be tough to pull off. But we still got a **** load of the best fighting the best fights.
