Bika vs Kessler. Both guys need a big fight. Sure Kessler would be favourite, but Bika's tough as nails and would being a whole lot more to the table than Andrade. How do y'all see it panning out?
It would be as onesided as Kessler vs. Andrade, the difference being that Bika's chin isn't as good as Andrade's, so he would probably get stopped in the later rounds.
Bika would have quite a bit of success with that loopy right of his. Kessler's one-two wouldn't be as effective as usual either because of the way Bika comes in, and because of Bika's wild, unconventional style. Once he's on the inside, Bika would be reasonably effective. If Andrade took two rounds off Kessler, Bika could take at least two, given the styles match-up. Kessler by 8 or 9 rounds. Every round would be a hard round for Kessler, though, just like in the Andrade fight, but Bika would take much less punishment.
Good analysis. A lot of people seem to underestimate Bika. He would definitely give Kessler some problems.
They underestimate Bika, but they don't seem to know how he fights either, and the way his style would mesh with that of Kessler's. Strange. Bika's been in quite a few big fights.
Sparring is one thing and going all out like a madman the way Bika does in big fights is another. Outclass? Yeah. But it wouldn't be an easy night for Kessler by any means. No one has an easy night with Bika, not even the most versatile and skilled out there.
Bika also struggled with (and was dropped by) the ordinary Jaidon Codrington. JC (and this is the black JC before anybody tries to misquote me out of context :yep) is not a better boxer than Kessler, nor does he have better power at 168. I feel a technically sound 1-2 boxer, especially one with pop, will eat Bika alive. Joe had problems with Bika because stylistically awkward + awkward = awkward as hell. Jaidon had problems because stylistically awkward + more traditional style = awkward wins if the overall ability level including intangibles is tipped in the awkard fighter's favor. Kessler, taking all intangibles into account, is on a much higher level than the don. In this case orthodoxy will trump awkwardness.
Kessler is just as physically strong as Bika IMO, which neutralizes Bika's main advantage. Kessler UD, probably wide if they fought in Denmark.
