Bika's trainer says Calzaghe to clever for Kessler

75% of people voted for Calzaghe in the Lacy fight in Scandinavia. Only people sucked in by the US media machine actually thought Lacy would win.

Yes, the funny thing is I said exactly the same thing (without knowing Kessler said it, or maybe I said it first..). However, I formed that oppinion on a couple of clips of Lacy and a lot of media and fan hype.

Once I got closer to the fight and actually saw a couple of full fights of Lacy - I did not doubt that Calzaghe would win... Neither did Kessler. Kessler said shortly before the fight that he thought Calzaghe would win.

 

If bika was on kesslers pyroll he would propably say kessler needed a lot of sparring. That he, bika the great fighter, who almost equaled jc and gave him hell, made him look like a midocre fighter without class or significant skills, had the insights and could teach kessler the black art of beating the 35 year old, fragile hands, anorectic eating disorder, step up his game, ridden jc.


Maybe Bika was an honest guy speaking his mind, based on a very intimate physical contact with both boxers. But jc guysm, you retort to describe Bika as as dishonest lying moneywhore who is on palles payroll. **** off Bimboes, how can you be so dilusional. Maybe its an idiots defencemechanism, denying facts, insight and honest opinion. Do you really think you have a better insight than a guy that have spent so much time with both guys.
Bika aint exactly a weak pushover guy. If he says mikkel is way stronger than jc and he is honest, wheres does that leave you jc huggers ? One step away from a devastating revelation....the days of jc is over. Kessler is his hangman.

All the bull**** about styles and speed ect. is a waste this time. I am convinced that we will witness a brutal dethroning of the king. I mean brutal a final. Kesller is not power witout brain or skills like lacy. Lacy was a bodybuilder dwarf compared to jc. Kessler is way above lacy and lacy knew that, but he thought that jc was over the hill. WHEN jc and mk meet it will be 18 months later and a jc with more wear and tear. Bika and (Man)fredo were hard on an old body like jc's. By the way I predicted jc to beat lacy back then. Lacy did not throw back like (MAN)fredo. Bika did and he did hurt JC.

My guess is that jc will be hunted down all the time. Kessler will trade if he has to. If they do trade kessler will win. Kessler will surprise you all on the inside jc too.
I do have lots of respect and sincere symphaty for jc. I think he has wasted his talents over the years, but i recognize him as one of the greats. If kessler beats him, then kessler will be the smw ATG. No debate or discussion and vice versa. Thing is that all jc's smarts and stuff will be wasted on kessler. He will go straigt for him and punish jc for the first time.

 

Joe Calzaghe is the one to blame if Svenni is considered smw ATG so far, even if it is in germany.

jc could have made a match with ottke if he wanted it enough. Hey there is a guy with the two most prestigious belts called the unified champ, because of the two belts.

I think it would have been a pretty big fight back then. Lots of money and recognition..

What ****s me up is all the jc fanboys denigrating svenni, when their idol could have answered the question.

Today jc calls it megafight because 3 belts and two undefeated champks meet. Wheres is the difference between mk and ottke. Its the same belts.

If you give a **** about your ****ing legacy you have to beat the other big boys. Right. Actually you should lust for the opportunity the way mikkel has challenged everybody, only to be ignored and overlooked.

This a big difference between mikkel and the rest...ottke,beyer,jc he calls the guys out, while some choose to fight big american names like fredo and such. I

Calzaghe is the more dynamic fighter. I think the winner is the guy who can box thus fighting his fight. If one of them beats the other by forcing the fight I will be very impressed.

 

LOL, I see it completely differently though. Imo. Joe needs - simply needs this fight and will benefit even if he looses. A couple of years after he stop he will not have a legacy that is much better than Ottke if he don't. After all for the majority of his carreer his best opponents were people that Ottke already beat. Ottke had by far the better and tougher opposition. So there is a clear deficit for Joe. However, as we know Ottke got 2-3 clear gift decisions and an additional couple of close fights that could have gone either way. Joe has only a couple of close fights and no real robberies. So there is a plus for Joe.

However overall, the badish opposition and the stay-at-home will mark his legacy. I will have far far more respect for Joe if he takes on Kessler and looses than if he just retires with his current "legacy". Ottke acutally did something similar when he took on undefeated Mads Larsen. That was a couragious move by Ottke that he could have gotten a lot out of. However two things made it a downside for Ottke - first of all he didn't need to take tough fights as much because he had already taken on pretty good opposition and secondly he most probably lost the fight and was given a robbery. So eventhough Ottke "won" the fight added to his bad legacy. He would have been better off losing in a close'ish fight. Now the bad side of his legacy just got reinforced. If the Calzaghe-Kessler fight doesn't happen it will (no matter why) reinforce Calzaghe's legacy as a champ that didn't really meet anyone dangerous for most of his carreer - except for a bulldog in Lacy that turned up to never again do anything noteworthy.

I definitely think a loss will do more for Calzaghe's carreer than not making the fight. A win will do even more of course.

 

I won't forget, and I'm certainly not from Cardiff.

 

Kessler UD. Calzaghe has to earn my respect, if he beats Kessler, he gets some from me. Right now he is unproven in my eyes
