Povetkin, Helenius and Boystov have said they don't want it yet, certainly not december.

Haye has just been beaten.

Chambers is fighting Thompson for a shot at Wlad already.

Chagaev already beaten and just lost to Povetkin.

Dimitrentko fighting Sprott in a month, could be possible for december maybe. But can Wlad afford to wait that long to make a fight?

Arreola. Possible, I still don't rate him that highly now, has he even beat a top 40 fighter? Hell even Ustinov has beaten Barrett.

I can't see Adamek wanting a Klitscko again for a long time.

It's just one of those rare occasions where the top 10 is struggling to find a willing worthy opponent. I can see why he's thinking of Mormeck. It's between him, Ustinov and Arreola and maybe Dimitrenko basically.

 

Figured Wlad was waiting to see what happened with Adamek but this was really quick if it holds. Mormeck always seemed like a possible opponent, it seems like he brings a bit of monetary clout with him and Wlad could possible travel to France for the fight. Still, Mormeck has almost, and I'm being generous here, no chance of beating Wlad.

Wlad has beaten one top 10 fighter after another and if he wants to beat up on Mormeck than he is one fighter today who has legitimately earned the right to face anyone he wants. I have no interest in the fight personally, its a huge mismatch, but I won't hate on Wlad for doing it, he earned it.

Having said that, I really wish Wlad would have taken a tougher fight than Mormeck. Wlad, at his age, doesn't have that many fights left and I hate to see him totally waste them like this. There's a lot of guys, who would probably take the fight, that I'd prefer. Arreola, Haye rematch, Chambers or Thompson(I'm sure both would skip their upcoming fight against each other to skip right to Wlad), Fury, Johnson, Liakovich, Dimitrenko, etc.

I see why everyone is complaining about Mormeck, but let's face it, this is a business, and the french and german public would like this fight. It's def a $$$ fight for both. And I personally dislike Mormeck, and most cocky useless fighters like him, so I'll be happy to see him starched if he don't run like a *****, I mean a Hayebitch.
As for the Arreola fight....I thought it was inked, guess not. But Nipples is still young, and should he be successful in his next few fights vs top 100 opposition, I'm sure Wlad would be happy to meet him at MSG next summer after a spring fight vs Chambers/Thompson.

Not a bad next 4 fights. Mix in Solis(if he's fought and beat 2-3 top 100s), Ustinov, Boystov or Welliver as well if they've acheived anything inside the top 100.

Two things are for certain. We aint getting to see Potvetkin as long as he holds that paper strap, and we aint gonna see Helenius if his mgmt has ANY sense at all. He can wait 3-4 yrs and beat the snot out of Potvetkin, Ustinov, and Dimi for the belts the K2 leave behind.

 

The problem is the Klitschkoes have beaten up alot of cruisers lately. Chambers, Haye, Adamek, and now Mormeck.

I think there'd be alot more interest in Wlad's next fight if he takes on someone bigger then him.

Dimitrenko is the obvious choice, if he wins his upcoming fight. If not him, then Valuev. If not them, then why not give Ustinov a shot? Another K2 fighter gets a good pay-day and it might even be an interesting fight.

I don't get why it's Mormeck unless Mormeck brings in alot of PPV revenue.

 

All that matters is that there are no more excuses. KOed by a clean punch, the better man won...

a mormeck fight in france is a big money fight...pus it would be nice to see wlad get a big KO
