BILD reporting Wlad - Mormeck done deal for December 2011

I did not read every post so I no doubt missed something. Is this fight still happening in December at MSG? I find it hard to believe they could fight in an outdoor futbol stadium in Central Europe in December. Smaller indoor arena's would be more practical.

There would be a real possibility HBO would not approve Mormeck and not show the fight. HBO can **** off either way as far as I am concerned.

 

Mormeck is totally shot. He actually LOST vs Oquendo.

I did not watch the Timur fight but he probably got a gift there too.

 

I'm sorry, but who? Has this guy done anything at HW?

If its a money issue, just offer Arreola more. K2 will make it back if they fight in Vegas or Atlantic City.

The French market really isn't worth fighting this non entity at HW.

 

Why is Arreola seen as such a great opponent, he's probably never even beat a top 40 opponent? Other than money (from American ppv if in the States) Arreola brings nothing to the table at this time. At least Mormeck has a decent legacy as well as being an easy money making fight.

He is pish, but Wlad is basically going to have to fight one of these guys that holds an 'international title' or it wont be sanctioned.

mormeck is a shot fighter! useless fight! and hes really damn small

Wlad will make a ton of money in this fight, and Mormeck, although small and somewhat chinny, does have explosive power, and could be an awkward
opponent for Wlad.

Most people were expecting Wlad to KO Haye, but Haye's chin held up. Most people thought that Ibragimov and Oquendo had the power to KO Mormeck, but his chin held up. TBH, Mormecks chin aint grade A china....he's only been KOd by serious punchers, Haye(96%KO rate at fight time) and Bell(93%KO rate at fight time).

Let's face it here people, nobody would have complained about Haye rematching Mormeck rather than defending vs Fraudley, but people complained b/c Haye wanted Mormeck instead of Wlad, when they finally
seemed available for each other.

At least Mormeck has beaten 2 top 20 HWs in Oquendo and Ibragimov, and he does bring a ton of money to the table. It's a tuneup, and since Sasha is content to hide behind her paper belt and fight 50y/o Holyfield, Arreola is content to continue thrashing the bottom feeders, and Dimiterenko would rather take his asskicking from the elder K2, Mormeck is about the best out there for this fight. I'd rather see it in Oct or Nov if at all possible, but this is boxing, and we almost never get what we want when we want it.

And hopefully Mormeck will take his chances vs Wlad and give us a fight unlike Haye who chose to try to perform fellatio on Wladimir rather than fighting him.
