Toney was so natural in the way he slipped punches he made it look so effortless. I don't think we'll ever see another fighter like him again.....
i remember an interview with HBO a long time ago (i think 1998 or 99) toney was talking about how when he first learned the shoulder roll, back in the ams, for weeks or months he got his ass busted up in sparring, his coach wanted to give up teaching him that style but they just stuck to it
I might see that interview as I wish to get his career set. Do they even allow the shoulder roll in AMA? For some odd reason I thought they didn't.
