    I'm a Conn fan, too.
    OP, you obviously know your stuff.
    On a slight tangent, please may I ask how you would compare Conn with Loughran, in a P4P sense?
    There are obvious parallels (at least on a basic level, for idiots like myself), and I've always struggled to separate them.
    Incidentally, I also really struggle to separate them head to head at LHW, too.

    Yeah he's one I think gets the short end of the stick and would be rated much higher if there was more footage. What does exist includes some very impressive form, to go with the résumé (among the strongest ones in a deep era).

    Well he was from Pittsburgh so I would say #1.

    Billy Conn was a pretty good interview as well. He was usually ask about the Louis fight and he had a great humility about it..."What is the point of being Irish of you can't do something stupid once in awhile"?
