Nobody...? What's his next best performance against a bigger fighter? A decision win over Lee Savold? A win over 15-loss Buddy Knox who fought 2 10-round fights the previous month?
I believe you killed your own thread! Gotta love the wanna be boxing experts here, lol run way when they are called on something thinking a popular name with little skills compared to the list wins strictly on ONE fight he didn't look that good in anyway. If anything at least you exposed me to more jack asses on here who put less caliber fighters over others based on myth who they've never really even seen before,right.... jab, seamus, red cobra and Janitor you guys know what im talking about?
Nobody could suggest anything because there's not a lot of Conn on readily available film. There's Louis and Bettina and that's about it. Anyway his best win at heavyweight is over Bob Pastor who was good enough to beat a lot of the guys that Louis missed because of the war. Turkey Thompson, Lem Franklin, and Jimmy Bivins. Plus Conn stopped him something only Louis did. Plus Savold and some guys that Louis stopped like Dorazio and McCoy (and I find it odd you would bring up how busy Knox was when Conn was pretty busy himself). The biggest guy he beat was Jay D Turner but Turner was mediocre at best.
If nobody can suggest anything where is all this he would do this or that evidence? lets be real .looking at the vids of him he would never be able to fight anyone on that list that's common sense. Bob pastor was 5'11 and had a 25% k.o percentage,he defeatted Charlie eagle who had a 11% k.o record before fighting Conn,if that's good enough to assume conn has the goods to defeat these men on the list, these guys need there head examined! :-( Conn was fighting guys like Tony Zale who was 5'7 175 pounds at heavyweight who went the distance with him,can you imagine ANY of the guys on the list fighting someone like that? :beat
I guess your a little late as usual you dolt best go check that THREAD! As usual nothing of anything REAL TO ADD HERE! N-N Schooled you there as well ,we just smartened up and left you trolling by yourself! :yep
So you ran away when the heat was on and came back when it had cooled down. Typical troll. And no one schooled me on anything. I do give him credit for at least mounting an argument. You on the other hand....EVERYONE took a piece out of you. Your knowledge of styles is horrible and your knowledge of history is even worse.
You were completely tooled/fooled and clowned..page after page,i don't stick around forever reiterating myself,i clowned you too...! :tomb This very thread like the other ones you didn't give one reason for Conn having the skills to beat ANY of the mentioned, you circle jerked your way out of it like the rest here! :good
UT is like the old-timers who invariably favor any older, smaller bocers regardless of evidence. He just does the exact opposite. Yet a 170 lb. boxer would be at a disadvantage against big skilled movers. Maybe he is correct that Conn would be at a disadvantage against 'guys from '91. After all, he turned 74 then.
Yea jab's post pretty much says it all, absolulty clueless with NO answer to the ACTUAL topic! Entertaining post nonetheless. :good
There used to be someone on here called Glover, then there was Tommo. These posters disappeared and Spermite eventually replaced them. It's obviously the same guy after release.
