:huh THis is a tuff one I mean later in his career he weighed in at a solid 265 and 6-4. In his prime 230. Where as Conn 6-1 170,but he actually started his career at light weight!!! I can see Conn just outboxing and outspeeding, outhustling a Lackadasical Briggs. Then I think of the Briggs who gave Lewis a scare and that Briggs was a hardpunching,Athletic big heavyweight who probably would have got Conn out of there early. If you wanna compare how Conn did against Joe Louis,I dont think that theory works here. A young Briggs would have came right at Conn and probably overwhelmed Conn. Louis stalkied him kind of followed him around unti coming from behind to knock him out late. Pound for pound Briggs shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence with Conn whos is an atg Lt heavy, But id have to take a young Briggs by 4th or 5th round ko. But id pick Conn over a 2005 Biggs by decision.

Briggs can really bull rush his man with allot of speed and ferocity at best and I just see him catching Conn sooner or later and when he does its lights out

Conn wouldn't let Briggs anywhere near him, engineering a neat decision win in the process.

I think that unless Briggs managed to overwhelm Conn he would be doomed to loose any decision rendered.

Briggs has scary power so wen cannot count him out here but my guess is that he probably wouldnt stop Conn in time.

Very close, but, come on, Conn weighed 174 and lacked the equalizer of a heavyweight punch. The height, weight, power and reach here I think are too much and Briggs should win.
