Foster too powerful and good at 175 pounds....... Conn had finess but hit like a *****, and he'd run like hell from Foster at 175 pounds....... Foster catches Conn and knocks him cold.......

Conn is now the mos underated puncher on the forum.

I like Conn on points. One of the few light-heavies with the guile to stay out of Foster's way for 15 rounds AND the chin to hold the shot if the worst should happen.

Mr Bill, if Ray Anderson could move for fifteen without really getting caught, a much faster Conn should be able also. Conn could be so fast getting his shots off, I can see him tagging Bob with straight right hands and frustrating Foster. If this caused Bob to open up too much Conn might tattoo him. Billy by a clear decision.

Conn....at the top of his game....has a shot.

Conn fought Louis at 168 lbs it was said.

I see the fight going the distance. I wouldn't necessarily count out the chance of Foster winning a decision. He would have to land a punch even greater than the one he KO'd Tiger with to get Conn out of there in my opinion.

Not sure about this one. Conn has the ability and chin to survive, but Foster really has the power and speed to make the difference.. I got Foster by KO.

If Joe Louis could barely knock out Conn, then I doubt Foster could do it. Conn is too fast for Foster and should win a decision.

I've always been of the opinion that Conn would have had a very good chance of outpointing BoB Foster, and hurting him with body shots and roughing him up along the way. Conn two or three levels better and more capable than Pierre Fourie and had the balls to hang in there and do his thing with Foster, like he did with Louis, but he would'nt have been as foolish with Foster, IMO, and would have stuck to the script.

So we judge Conn on his worst performance?
When he was finished . Should we take the Foster of the Ahumada fight too?

Conn by wide UD, way too much skill for the Hunchback. Foster had trouble with Chris Finnegan's slickness and movement; Conn is another level entirely. Foster's jab might save him from complete schooling and humiliation, but it wouldn't be far off.

Under-rated puncher? Why do you say that?

Huge amount of this going on lately. The first bullet in many head to heads lately seems to be to pick the worst couple of performances ever from the guy your going against, sometimes not even from their prime. Trouble is it just doesn't cut it most times. You could take down any fighter ever pretty much under this set. Even the best often have a poor performance or two mixed into their prime let alone outside it.

What da? As Billy's saddened manager said after the bout, of his now totally having lost it great fighter, "Whatever happened to Billy Conn." You get a collective ewwwwww on dis one Mr. Bill. The Ali of the Holmes bout would have been stopped by Chuvalo also.
