Conn from the first Louis fight vs. Patterson from the second Johansson fight. Who wins?

This would be a peach of a fight.

We would be justified in favoring Patterson, but I am sure that Conn could make it one hell of a fight.

Very tactical fight. Floyd might have been better in some ways but conn was very crafty and hard to hit flush. Decision for Patterson maybe ?

I’d go with Conn by decision.

Style-wise, this could be a great match-up, since there are number of ways it could go, in theory.

Conn, in my opinion, has the ability to disrupt and frustrate Patterson, scoring well as he does so. But my doubts about his chances stem from the question of how long Conn could sustain his smart boxing against a guy like Patterson, who moved so well himself. I as well wonder if Conn could hurt and deter Patterson.

While the gap in size isn't massive, Patterson is the naturally bigger man here and he carries some fairly heavy firepower which he fuses with high-speed combinations. His offensive strikes cover essential ground in an instant and I would bet on Patterson having the ability to repeatedly negate Conn's defensive footwork and reach Conn with damaging blows.

In doing so, Patterson would likely force as many mid-to-close-range exchanges with Conn as he could - wearing him down until he scored the inevitable KO. I think it would be just a matter of time.

    Spot on.
Besides all those valid particulars, an overriding factor is that Patterson is so fast himself that Conn will be unable to...Con him, be hit & gone, & avoid most of the return fire.

With Conn's main advantages negated, + Patterson having greater strength size & power, Con is not doing a number on Floyd.
Conn though could have fought at MW in day before weigh ins; considering him in that division would be interesting.

I like Floyd by late ko. Yep, I think he's going to struggle against Conn for a while but nail him eventually.
