Yes, dancing Billy would be here ,there but never where Jake's punches were, bad match for the Bull.

conn did the same thing to louis and look what happened. jake tended to come on more at the end of rounds and fights due to his iron man constitution.it is possible he kos conn he kod a lot of bigger men than billy and if he didnt ko him is there a possible decision for the bull?

Loved Billy, though a lot of Pittsburghers didn't. He put up with no bull****, no fools at all. I met him once, and he treated me, a nobody, with respect. Billy was a class act. And though he was tougher, hit harder, and took 'em better than people give him credit for, I fear Jake would have been too much for him. Too resilient, too relentless, too unstoppable, I don't think Billy could have either knocked Jake out or taken what he would bring all night long. Jake would have worn Billy out, but I agree it would have been a helluva fight, since Billy had heart to spare, a more outstanding characteristic in my opinion than Billy's boxing expertise.

Conn was simply much bigger and better. LaMotta was not a big enough puncher to have much of a chance to KO Conn and remember that Conn toyed with Tony Zale. I take Conn by a wide decision.

LaMotta lost five of six to the welterweight Robinson. Conn was a lightheavy.

Bigger? Taller, yes, but better? How? His boxing proficiency? If you compare the two styles by today's standards Jake's stands up as a swarmer, but Billy's as a boxer?

True, LaMotta was not a big puncher per se, but the cumulative effect of his non-stop punches, his chin and his refusal to go down were second to none, his long arms for a middleweight, Jake had the arms of an orangutan!

Yes, Jake lost to Robinson, and every time Ray had all he wanted, and are you comparing Billy to Sugar Ray? Not to mention that Billy got a gift over Zivic, and look at what Jake did with Fritzie, how many times?

Not only does Jake land more shots than Billy, he TKO's him.

Lamotta's power was closer to my grandmas than Louis's

No that is not a derogatory observation.
