Billy Conn Vs John Conteh?

I find Conteh over rated. Charismatic but over rated. A few decent wins and most known for his first losing battle vs Saad. I’m always skeptical of any fighter known for what he should have been “if” . Conn beats him over 15.

 

I’m not saying that his record is amazing, but prime Yaqui Lopez and Jorge Ahumada and Mate Parlov (Robbery)

 

John Conteh wins a UD, in a competitive fight, like 9-6.

 

I lean towards Conn, confidently? No.....this is a good fight at 175. I think Conn might get the better of Conteh if they go mano e mano at some point.

 

Just curious what makes you confident in Conteh’s chances vs one of the best ever? Billy himself had an incredible left hand, and he would throw fast lead hooks that would turn into blistering 6-8 punch combinations. Billy had 2” height advantage, power, fast hands, stamina, toughness, and beautiful movement. Billy also has far more ring experience against hall of fame fighters

How will conteh beat him? With his jab? Billy fought 6’2 Joe Louis and found a way around his brutal left jab. Conteh had problems with 6’2 Parlov who can’t shine Billy’s shoes
