Billy Conn vs Marvin Hagler at 168lbs who would have won?

Twenty pounds heavier,stronger , and more mature too! Joe Louis didn't knock him down for 12 rds.
Jimmy Ellis was knocked down by Ruben Carter when he was a middleweight,do you think it likely he would repeat the feat once Ellis matured and added weight?
Tony Zale possibly hit as hard as Conn he couldn't budge him reason?Added weight and strength.

 

Possibly. Conn was one helluva fighter around 168 and i dare say he may have presented his own problems too. Stylistically Nunn and Hearns would have matched him pretty well yes but Conn himself had plenty of height too. He also possessed great speed and fought better in the pocket than either of them i dare say. He also had superb stamina which would possibly come into it against these two. Nunn and Hearns would be murdered against Louis.

 

Good observation....I knew something must have been "afoot".

 

Conn also went 2-0 against Bettina who was an excellent southpaw. YC3 was a very different fighter from Hagler stylistically, much more similar to Rigo than Hagler. Not indicative of much imo.

 

It is very hard to see how you would favor Hagler, without seeing him fight above 160.
