Conn wide decision. Awful for Salad and tough enough to rise out the late storm. It took Joe Louis to knock Conn out. Saad's good, but not that good.
George i have to say I'm not the most knowledgable on Conn, but could this fight look like Conteh vs Muhammad ? With Conn outboxing Muhammad early on like Conteh was. And maybe Muhammad's extra strength might come into play late on ? Or does Conn sweep it without any late dramas ? It's just Muhammad in his prime had such a will to win, and i just can't see Conn despite being more skillful, just sweeping this fight without some rough moments where he has to dig deep.
I share your trepidation, Conn had a very good chin, wars with Apostoli, Krieger, Bettina, attest to that, but Saad was a big puncher in his own right, not sure Conn would be able to avoid, especially if it's over 15 , not that it overly matters I suppose, but Saad looks so much bigger and stronger, on what films we have of Billy, ok I might lean to Conn, but he would have to at his very best. stay safe guys.
