Well according to the dummies here 160 to 170 pound is a heavyweight if it is a fighter they like and they are telling you he could beat a real modern sized heavyweight. But the 5 people who have a fully functioning brain who make post here know to be a modern sized heavyweight you have to be 200/205 pounds and these little 160 to 170 pound guys aren't heavyweights. So of course Conn was brave to move up to fight Joe Louis but this also shows how overrated Joe is. Lets say Conn just used his speed to run and pity pat Joe the whole fight and built up a lead on points. Lets say Joe Louis got so into his power against 180 pound guys he just looked from one punch the whole night. You could make that excuse for why he was losing. But Joe was muscled by a guy 30 to 40 pounds lighter than him. Joe was also hurt by Conn who couldn't even punch hard against people his own size. Which proves of any 200 pound guy who had the so called heavyweight title Louis probably had the worse chin.
