http://www.aus-boxing.com/2012/06/0...juan-antonio-rodriguez-on-july-13-in-campsie/ IBF Featherweight champion, Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib will fight yet another Mexican, Juan Antonio ‘El Mozo’ Rodriguez but this time Billy’s world title won’t be on the line. The fight will take place on July 13th at the Orion Function Centre in Campsie, Sydney at Super Featherweight. Dib (33-1) claimed the title with a 12 round unanimous decision win over Mexican, Jorge Lacierva in July of 2011. Since then Dib has picked up two stoppage wins over the previously unbeaten, Alberto Servidei of Italy, and in The Kid’s last outing he stopped the tough Mexican, Eduardo Escobedo after round 6 in Tasmania on March 25. Mexican southpaw, Rodriguez (21-3) is a former WBC Youth World Champion which he defended 6 times, but ‘El Mozo’ is yet to fight past 10 rounds and hasn’t step foot outside of his home country, Mexico to fight. Dib is rumored to take on the winner of Luis Franco vs Gary Russell Jr after Gary Shaw Productions won the purse bid to promote the fight which will be an IBF Featherweight title eliminator. Appearing on the Dib vs Rodriguez undercard in Sydney will be #3 rated WBO Featherweight, ‘Aussie’ Joel Brunker. He will face Mexican, Edgar Riovalle in the co-main event while a stablemate of Billy Dib’s, Billel ‘Babyface’ Dib will challenge for the vacant Australian Super Featherweight title against Matt Garlett on the undercard. General admission tickets start at $60 and visit www.teamhussein.com for more details. The show is promoted by Billy Hussein of Body Punch Gym in Sydney and will be televised live on Fox Sports-Friday Night Fights.

I heard it's not a title fight... Geez Aus-Boxing mis-quoting an article or Dib's team trying to 'guild the lilly' a bit... Never let the truth get in the way of a story hey!
I'll attempt to find out. I was under the impression that it was a title defense and hadn't been told otherwise. EDIT: It is a non title fight
Because that's the bull**** they wanted you to know Aus. Tell as much fake bull**** as possible in order to sell tickets...
In this day and age, so-called ABC world champions shouldn't take non-title 'keep busy' fights, it's ridiculous.
