You win belts to make money and this fight is just a waste.

A very well respected international manager once said in an article I read and couldn't agree more - "You don't make money chasing the belt, you make money defending it".

This proves Dib has no worth internationally as again, ABC belt holders should not be taking non-title fights. You win a belt, you make money from it so fundamentally, this fight is just a wasted opportunity.

Dib can't carry a PPV card in the country, he got no more than 3,000 in attendance when he won the title (not on TV) and then garnered Fox TV for the defence against the Italian but drew only 1,500 odd so it's not as if he's becoming a hot commoditity even in Australia and internationally, well the stench of the Luevano performance still lingers long.

His only true value is the ABC title and yet international promoters still aren't enthused, dear oh dear.

Now he's fighting on a card with no title on the line simply because the show probably will draw in the vicinity of 1,000 and that in this day and age can't pay for a title fight.

Spare a thought - Dib will win this fight in my opinion because the opponent will be hand-picked so well, yet for a moment, ponder the thought that this Mexican catches Dib flush on the chin and boom down he goes. You may not lose your title in a non-title fight, but what little credability Dib has through his ABC belt would be cleaned flushed down the drain. What a stupid move taking a fight like this, for what would be very small-average money, would then mean in the big scheme of things hey?

Gary Russell's team have already turned down Dib, stating he isn't ready yet. Now Russell has pulled out of the eliminator. So much for you muppets saying he would bash Dib etc etc in a thread a few months back.
