I won't be staying up for this because I've an early rise. How good is the Russian? I don't know a lot about him.

I really don't like Dib so hope he does a number on him.

    There's also a possibly quite fun co-feature I haven't even mentioned:

Willie Nelson vs. Michael Medina, 10 rounds @ light middleweight

Nelson is a freak of nature at 154, making Paul Williams seem a stocky midget. He looked the goods coming up against tomato cans and began really turning heads when he destroyed Jesse Feliciano, but got shown up and thoroughly stomped by Vincent Arroyo on ShoBox. Since going "back to the drawing board" to regroup, Nelson has sprung a few upsets - over Cuban amateur standout Yudel Jhonson, and hard-hitting John "Son Of Julian"/"Baby Hawk" Jackson - and seems to be progressing nicely.

Medina is a very simple, no-frills, ham-and-eggs warrior. He fought a memorable battle with John Duddy in the bright spot of the Pacquiao vs. Clottey PPV, and swapped knockdowns with Saul Roman before succumbing in the 2nd of a short but fierce conflict. He is also coming off his two best wins, over veteran Grady Brewer and deluxe prospect-tester Jamie "Shotgun" Winchester.

Nelson/Medina should be fan friendly while it lasts. Both guys are prone to opening up and brawling at times. I think Medina is made to order for Nelson, be a little surprised if Nelson didn't stop him.

Will say Nelson got a bit of dubious UD against Jackson last time out. That was a very close fight, slightly leaned to Jackson as I watched. He is a solid guy but I don't see a bright future for him really. His transition between offense and defense is lacking.

This is going to be a good one. Medina is made for Nelson, but the opposite is also true. It's an e-harmony fight. Nelson is just wide open to the body as he marches in with his high guard. Medina is a big time body worker. If it does go the distance, it'll be interesting to see if the judges give him credit. Medina also jabs more actively, though his camp is talking about him getting inside as a priority.

I also kind of favored Jackson in that fight with Nelson, though I didn't really score it. Nady screwed Jackson with those warnings for borderline shots, but Jackson was landing them at will prior to that.

Someone or something (I think it was a promoter) tweeted a pretty good video on Nelson.
