Dib is better than many on here give him credit for. It's just that his showboating style is aggravating to watch. He did go 12 with Marali ( we all know he lost but it was kinda close) and he certainly won three or four rounds against Luevano - both very credible opponents.I don't think it would be the cakewalk for the stylish but light punching Willie that many think. I reckon a very close points go either way.
Look mate I have hated Dib for years and not just because the way he fights it's all the media and people saying how amazing he is gonna be and all that crap. Dib is a C class fighter and nothing more then a C class fighter. You say give him Credit, Ok I would but for what? Ok he has fought in America a few times I'll give him that and he should have lost not only this last fight he did but his other last fight in America. I see you said the fight was kinda close with Marali and look thats cool people see fights different but personally I had Dib losing that fight bad, was not even close in my eyes. At least 111-117.
Willie is good, but overrated this early in his career, and both had slightly controversial wins recently, Dib's being more so than kicketts.......so i don't know!
Wayne, I'm glad you're not a judge. Marali did not win that fight by 117-111 or more. He did however, win the fight imo.
elaborate eh....? ok. ABSOLUTE total ****en moron.....:yep kickett can punch and has great hand speed..... .
Close fight. Both have got some talent, that's a given. Willie has got some speed and certainly has put some runs on the board. For me, the jury's still out a little. As for Billy Dib, I don't think there are many other boxers in Aus. who have polarised the public (especially this forum) so much. Overrated? perhaps. Good enough to beat Kickett? Don't know- needs something. Certainly a salivating contest. Kickett did call him out when he had the IBO. It would be interesting to see whether Kickett still feels the same way and would be willing to put his own titles on the line. My thoughts are no, he won't take the risk. IMO Kickett wins a close one, no knockouts here - people question Billy's chin but he has taken some shots, showcasing two very good Aus boxers. I'd love to see it happen as both boxers are a little overhyped. Stingray I think sums it up - it could quite easily go either way.
