Apprently Grahams assistant (John Beard) is taking charge of the training for Mailinaggi. Than he's going to look for a permanent trainer after that (which begs the question, how many more fights is he planning?)
I understand he is planning at least four more, including ***gi. If somebody could get him disciplined, I don't see a problem with him having more than four - his defence also needs a fair bit of work. Pressure fighters generally don't have careers longer than 50 fights, especially these days - and ones that take a lot of punishment, as Hatton has are a case in point. The guy has probably been in as many genuine wars % wise, as any top 20 P4P fighter :deal
My guess is he felt that he could no longer improve Hatton as a fighter, and wanted to give Hatton a way to grow without having to fire him.
Does anyone remember seeing the interview with Hatton saying he has no plans for retirement in the near future. I can't remember where I saw this, but I'm pretty sure it was a link on here. He said all this talk of one fight, two fight, four fights, isn't something that's even on his mind. He said he still feels he's at his best and has no plans of retiring anytime soon. So, I'm curious as to you guys who say two fights and four fights like it's a definite.
Good trainers are not always "high profile" trainers. Whoever he has chemistry with. Floyd Sr would not be good for hatton.
