billy graham vs jake lamotta

    Graham never really fought a genuine, big middleweight in his career. He did well in his trilogy with Joey Giardello, arguably winning all three fights, but that was a slightly greenish Giardello who was more a junior middle in any case.

    No doubt Graham was as tough as they come but it would be a hard ask to see him go 15 rounds with Jake. Even if he doesn't get knocked out, (he probably wouldn't) he may find himself getting swamped and overwhelmed over 15 due to Lamotta's strength. He's the more skilled guy but Lamotta would probably find a way to fight his fight if he's in peak form.

    I'd take the cautious pick and say Lamotta UD over 15. 9-6-ish.

    Wouldn't be totally surprised if Graham did win though.

    Yep...I agree with SS as well. He summed it up. Billy Graham was one heckuva fighter, I think very highly of him.
