I doubt it, he can fight for 6 rounds no more. Unless he solves his TERRIBLE stamina issues he's going to lose if he fights the top guys.

From leads he built during the first 6 rounds, against his best opponents Lee and Eubank he lost almost all the final 6 rounds against each of them.

Bjs probably (almost definitely imo) has better stamina than Canelo. Canelo is a heavy handed with a granite chin but he's also a low output sharp shooter.

BJS has a big stylistic advantage in that fight because he's quicker and slicker. Canelo doesn't throw enough to take advantage of BJS's poor stamina. BJS does have a good chin as well so 1 shot ala the Khan fight wont do it, and he is great defensively as well.

I think BJS wins if he doesn't get robbed 2/3 times.

BJS is all wrong for Canelo.

Canelo has good hand speed but horrible foot speed and can't cut the ring off well. Like a turret, he needs to stay put to unload his power. This plays so well into the hands of BJS with longer reach and very quick feet and hands. He gets in and out of range very quickly. He will be jabbing the sh*t out of Canelo all night. Throw in some obligatory sh*t talk from BJS and Canelo is in for a very long and frustrating night.

Even if Canelo does manage to get him in a corner BJS is one slippery fu*ker. It's not very easy to land clean on him and the few times he's been hit, he took it pretty well.

I don't think BJS has stamina issues. With Andy Lee, he scored two knockdowns early which put him ahead. Then he cruised to the decision not because of stamina but to minimize the risk of getting caught with Andy's well known hook.

Anyway, BJS UDs Canelo and makes him look stupid.

Saunders would school Canelo IMO but he would get robbed on the scorecards.

BJS is right, he was world champion and gave the belt up because he doesn't want to get knocked out and knows it does not go the distance. If he thought it did he would win even if he lost every round. How he got a SD against mayweather is will never no. But no world champion should be giving belts up un less their moving up in weight. BJS beats him everyday of the week for me far to slick.
