What you have to realise about Saunders is, he is the est sticker and mover in the division. He will unsettle ggg with his quicker feet and very fast hands, he is one of the fastest fighters at 160lbs. He may need to bulk a bit to withstand the blows and add more pop to his punches. Ggg would have fits trying to track down superb billy joe, a bad match up for the Kazakh.

Agree with the foot speed and stick and move comments but I don't believe he has the power to trouble GGG the guy spars cruiserweights maybe in a few years billy joe can do the job but not now in my opinion and you know I love billy joe

nope, he schools ggg and if ggg comes to fight he'll get stopped by getting countered to death.

This is a troll thread though we have not seen the best of BJS yet. BJS is slick and fast but that fight against eubank was way too close.

he is such a good 'stick and mover' that the agricultural eubank was all over him and kept it at close quarters for the majority of the fight! very good 'stick and mover' indeed. the best.:tired

GGG pins BJS in the corner and violently renders him unconscious.

And when you're wrong, you'll just find another guy to root for.

I give Lee a puncher's chance to beat anybody up to 168. As long as he doesn't get hurt, gassed, and works on his defense, Lee will be the new Rocky and sentimental champion of the people.

I'd rather see this fight than any of the three prospective Golovkin opponents that were mentioned

BJS will be the next Brit to get sparked.

    1. Brian Rose
    2. Paul Butler
    3. Billy Joe Saunders (It's irrefutable) once he steps into world level

No way BJS gives up his mando spot to WBO belt to get KTFO by GGG though.

OTOH if he gets that belt by beating the Quillin-Lee winner and looks good doing it, I will take GGG-BJS threads a lot more seriously.

    You're definitely right

I'm just saying this is a more intriguing fight than Golovkin vs Johnson

    Thats a terrible fight imo

Sadly, I cannot find it possible disagree.

While I think he has the style to give GGG problems, he is nowhere near the level required to execute. Getting caught and stopped by Stevens showed that. He needs another year of step-up fights before any serious fan can get excited about this match.

Unfortunately no one has yet been able to offer a better available option. If DL fight with NDam is up in air.. wish he would bow out and let NDam fight GGG for IBF/unification then DL could fight winner in fall after his issues get sorted.

Then we could ahve 2 consecutive worthwhile matches instead of one mediocre match and then ????
