No I think he meant it. But then he felt Canelo's devastating power and his whole world changed.

Your jaw must have hit the floor when that happened.

I guess we've all said things we didn't mean..."If they do that again I'll wring their necks" ...

I'm glad he didn't come out for the 9th round. As soon as I saw his eye was closed, I knew it was game over. Canelo was coming on strong and if BJS couldn't see fully, he would have been ktfo in a brutal manner. BJS can be pleased with his performance and live to fight another day.

His face caved in, but his eye wasn't swollen shut. There was hardly any swelling around the eye, it was just badly bruised which indicated a fracture deep within the face. They tried putting the enswell on it. No one really realized or understood the extent of what happened there, that's why everyone was so shocked that it was called off. I think the only person in the stadium who knew it was about to be stopped was Canelo because he felt Billy face break when he landed that shot.

But I agree with you Serge, the fight should have been stopped. Billy could have suffered permanent damage had he been allowed to come out in the 9th. The corner made the right decision.

He'll never forgive himself for walking into that uppercut though.

No there was swelling around the eye. It might not have been swollen shut but it was swollen and the doctor in the vid said that when you suffer an injury like that you instinctively want to shut your eye.

He might have suffered permanent damage to it already. Antony Ogogo has had to have 7 surgeries on his eye and his vision is badly impaired

I usually ignore the Clenelo fans when it comes to anything Clenelo related lol. Some of them are good dudes when not discussing the ginger one but lord have mercy when they are

Exactly. People on here are being disingenuous trying to cry about "the fighters health" yet they'll bash one guy for quitting as if he sacrificed his own parents and defend another as if he built 50 orphanages. I see right through the BS.

I think a lot of people think boxers are intelligent when it comes to all things boxing.. But this is not the case at all... Some boxers just don't know ****.. At all... Same with a lot of trainers
