Danny Jacobs is reveling in his first round obliteration of FORMER WORLD CHAMPION PETER QUILLIN. Jacobs will be cherishing this victory for the next 2 years.
I thought Saunders was avoiding GGG because he wanted to fight Eubank for a massive payday. I understood the reasoning. But never even heard of Bursak. Not sure why they'd do this.
Dan Rafael on twitter shredding BJS for being offer 7 figures $ to fight GGG, turning it down then after the Wade fight was made called out GGG ! Now he has this garbage fight with Bursak.
Working with K2 is a good thing here. Perhaps they're making this gimme fight as a sort of sacrifice to BJS soas he is more agreeable for a fall fight with GGG. Politicking at it's finest. At least that what we should be hoping.:-(
Looks like a **** poor defence (never seen Bursak so can't be sure). BJS says some stupid things, but seems like he's got some substance so I'm sure he'll take decent fights once he's had a couple of paydays as a belt holder.
His ears will be boxed clean off his head, and Billy Joe will finish with a the cherry on top by stopping him.:deal
This fight is irrelevant. BJS is irrelevant without GGG pushing for unification. If GGG wasn't at 160 nobody would care about BJS
I saw this reported on Twitter earlier today and was surprised to see him copping a lot of stick for it. Bursak was a talented and well-pedigreed but somewhat one-dimensional and middling contender in his prime and past it now, yes - and could arguably have gone his last eight batting .500 (if you think he got a gift over Nick Blackwell in his only good W on paper in year) - but he would be at worst the 4th or 5th best name on BJS' record to date. For a 1st defense this isn't terrible.
More than passing fair undercard, too - Kucher vs. McKenzie and Tennyson vs. Walsh, both could be corkers.
