Jacobs beats saunders. But both of them are chicken ****s. 160 is a joke of a division. One A level fighter, some c level boxers with heart like Lemieux, and a bunch of chicken **** C+-B- level boxers like Saunders and Jacobs. Hopefully guys like Khytrov in the future will fight GGG and not ask for more money than GGG has ever made.

2 million isn't life changing money. First take around half of that for tax, take away another 20-30% of that for your manager/promoter/trainers etc. You're left with like what? 700k? That's not life changing money. I get why Saunders doesn't want to fight him, he can make more money staying undefeated and keeping his stock up with like 500-1m fights(300-400k after expenses), several times, but it doesn't make him less of a chicken.

If Saunders gets 3/4 million dollars after all the expenses are paid add to that whatever he has stockpiled his first 23 fights that's over a million dollars. A million dollars is life changing. Saunders is a very good fighter but he is far from unbeatable. I agree with Barcham take the money while it's there. If you blow this you will never see it again.

Dude, there's no way he's getting 3-4 million dollars. I'm talking about the 2m payday that's being offered which he would end up getting 700k, which is not life changing money. Do you realize that most good 4 years of college costs over 200k over 4 years, and this is without food, and other expenses?

Saunders is not getting paid 3-4 million, GGG doesn't make that money, Saunders asking for a paycheck higher than GGG has ever received is just a joke and him saying that he wants nothing to do with him. His stock+career will be shortened after he takes a thrashing, he can just make 300k-500k pay checks for the rest of his career rather than cash in for like 700k against Golovkin.

I realize you are talking about 2 million. How can he make 500k paychecks when he can only make 700k vs the best? He better take the GGG fight. He will have over a million in the bank after that one. He can worry about money after he is a millionaire. If he doesn't take the fight he can just as easily lose to the next guy and not have the million in the bank.

3/4 million dollars means 3 quarter of a million dollars not 3 or 4 million dollars.

I'm assuming he can still make 700-1 million dollar pay checks. 40% taken out of 1m is 600k, minus 30% managers fee is 420k.

I'm assuming the fight will be in the US where they take 40% of your purse. 40% of 2m is 800k, so he'd have 1.2m and subtract another 30% from that for manager/promoter fees which is 360k. So he'd make around 840k total. That's simply not life changing money. If I was his manager, I'd tell him to stay away from Golovkin and fight these other 160 pounders because he can stay undefeated, and he might even start making 1.5m-2m if he becomes a draw in the UK without GGG. That being said, it doesn't change the fact that it's a ***** move, just the smarter business one.

Btw I don't think he will easily lose to the next guy. Saunders is a decent talent, the only guy at 160 I see beating him is Jacobs. But he has a FAR better chance at being Jacobs than GGG, and he'll get paid a couple 100k less. The only way Saunders gets in there wiht GGG is 6m, a couple mill is enough to retire and buy a caravan and relax in there.

Saunders will be fighting a local guy before summer. He's not fighting GGG in 2016. There's simply no possible way. September he's either fighting Canelo or Eubank Jr. That's his route for this year.

It's pretty obvious that the #2, and #3 chickens of an awful division want nothing to do with Golovkin.

That's right. I can't blame them though. This is how it all works. Sanctioning bodies need their own champion and no one can do anything about it.

My point was you should take the cash when it's there because you never know. Saunders could be walking to the store to get a newspaper and The Polish Navy might misfire a missile that lands on his head.
