If BJS turns up in the same shape he was in against Lemieux then I believe he does a job on Andrade. It will be similar to the Monroe Jnr fight stylistically. I really rate Andrade and to his credit he’s been more active than he normally is...I just think BJS is elite on his day if he feels there’s a genuine threat and Andrade brings that.
Vada is voluntary. If the fight goes to purse bids, there's no obligation to sign up to Vada. Only if Billy Joe accepts an offer from Matchroom, would their terms and conditions state Vada.
Yeah but I don't think Warren would win a purse bid. The best thing for Saunders would be a deal getting done due to the split rules when going to purse bids. No point Warren overpaying in a purse bid for this fight.
BJS clearly beats Andrade, but getting the fight pencilled in will be a challenge. BJS is extremely skilled and when it top shape elite level, and that’s going to mean he doesn’t get certain fights
Personally I don't think it will happen DAZN would win purse bid and BJS would be on the challenger percentage! Then you have the question of whether there will be drug testing ?
Billy Joe should give most of his purse to uncle frank if this comes off. At the moment BJS is the captain of the who needs him club, if he can nail down a fight with Andrade first real back then Franks done great for him. I was expecting him to be out in the wilderness having to fight journey men again and work his way back up. This gives his career a real life line
The excitement I have for this fight is just non existent. 2 technically sound fighters barley touching each other for 12 rounds. This has snooze fest written all over it.
Billy at his best is a joy to watch IMO. I look forward to this fight. As I've said on many occasions, I think Billy gives Canelo and GGG their hardest fights. Possibly beats them. It'll be a real shame for British boxing if he doesn't get that opportunity. However, he must do his part now by staying active and out of trouble. Recapturing his world title is a big step in the right direction.
Make or break for BJS, who has been living off dodging that punch against a very poor version of Lemieux. Don't get me wrong, he's a very good boxer, extremely good on his day, but he's just not been active enough, not all his fault I know, but he's a one fight a year guy, and for me that's s**t.
