Billy Joe Saunders The 26 year old 5'11 Middleweight with a 23-0 12 KO's record. Born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and fighting out of Hatfield, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. He's a slick, bobbing, and weaving, rolling and slipping unmistakable uber talent, he's just smashed through the door and became next level but unfortunately Golovkin is on the other side of the door waiting for him. He's proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's the best Middleweight from the UK, and with his wins over Eubank and now Lee, he's proved that he's world class, now will he dare to be great and take on all comers? He's great at talking s*** in a very Froch like fashion, he can sell himself quite well and he's a decent Looking Bloke with a Heinous Birthmark. Will One Day the Gypsies sing an Ode to Billy Joe?:guitar::deal::deal::deal::deal:

He was meant to get the WBO title shot against Korbov until Andrade move up in weight. He was next in line.

In full flow there is no doubt BJS is a beautiful, smooth, fluid boxer to watch. Very easy on the eye.
Just be careful about overrating him just yet. He lacks power, doesn't seem to kill himself training, and has lacked discipline in the ring recently.

I'm sure if presented with a great opportunity, he'll get serious, don't worry I'm not overhyping, just bringing attention to good prospects.

BJS is a decent young boxer with potential. Not sure he will ever be world class, he doesn't believe he will be either if you see his interview where he says GGG would beat him and Eubank Jr on the same night. Which is honest but not really a mark of a champion IMO.

Not sure why you have shown an interview of him talking about Eubank Jr? Does this enhance him in your eyes.

No it just shows he has an ability to be a brash *******, which is marketable, I got nothing against Eubank Jr.

He's good, a lot of potential, still think he should move down to 154 though, if he was ripped he'd be weighing in at around 152, no excuse to have any kind of fat IMO.

And a few congrats to CST80 for his series of threads bringing attention to prospects who might be little known to the US audience.:good

Billie Joe is a decent fighter who has pretty much hit the ceiling at domestic level and needs to spread his wings a little. Despite somewhat strangely being bypassed by Andrade for the chance at fighting for the vacated WBO strap, he probably needs to be looking outside the UK for major fights having (narrowly) disposed of arch rival Ryder last year.

I'm expecting a coupla Euro level fights in the near future, but I'd hope the WBO will sanction a fight with the Andrade / Korobov winner before too long. TBH I'm not sure how competitive Saunders will be at world level but the kid can certainly box and deserves the chance to show what he can do.

Another interesting domestic fight is with Eubank Jr who's certainly been talking up the possibility, but has yet to face the level of opposition that would make him a credible opponent.

I don't know if he really has the discipline for the hard grind of training. But, that said, if he is THIS GOOD with poor habits, how good might he be with discipline?

Agreed about Eubank Jr he has a bit to go before I think he gets a BJS fight. If they both continue to win, it could be another Groves vs Degale. Hopefully it will be the right decision though.

Physically Eubank jr looks like an athlete. BJS looks like a civil servant. Not by any means the whole story I know but still... (..and of course Eubank has the advantage of his fathers genetics.)
