Newsflash: BJS just genuinely isn't much better than Akakov level.
He knows he's getting bodybagged by GGG.

Another night Billy gave it his minimum. I guess that's what happens when you spend your entire training camp trying to burn fat. He should be kept active so he wouldn't balloon up in between fights, and he needs to take his career more seriously if he wants other people to do so. It'd be a shame to see all that potential gone waste.

He didn't look much better than Nick Blackwell or John Ryder level either, he went on to beat Chris Eubank and Andy Lee later on. He fights down to level of his opposition.

Yeah, well they had to make up some bs delay for the Lee fight so he could get his lardy ass in shape.

I think BJS won the fight, Akavov didn't really land too much, or regularly enough, although he was busier and taking the fight to Saunders. It was close though, closer than the judges scored it in my book.

The thing that made me laugh though, was BJS took the MC's mic straight after the fight, apologised for his performance and said on that showing he had no right to call out GGG. He was right of course, and very convenient too. No one will be calling for that fight now and if GGG comes after his belt, BJS has got a ready-made excuse to duck. It was almost like he stunk the place out on purpose...

He shouldnt worry about GGG right now. I don't think any version of BJS could beat Canelo H2H, and if I was Golden Boy I'd shoot for that fight next, which is a real possibility.

Yeah you're right, he forgot to say he wasn't ready for Canelo either. How's he gonna swerve that fight for 12 months too?

He can't. GBP will make him an offer he can't refuse, so I expect this fight to go down in the spring sometime. Canelo will whoop him up.

Hopefully Jacobs gets in the ring with Triple G.
    Same time BJS vs Canelo

    Winners face in Sept.

And if Triple G wants because he likes to stay active take another early summer fight

Problem for canelo is if the real bus Saunders turns up he has a good chance of getting battered. Canelo will need all the judges on the payroll do this fight to happen

mmhmm.... Canelo would see that fleshy midriff and his eyes would light up.

It's a pity. I rate BJS - he's got skills to burn - but he simply does not live the life of a boxer. Last night they kept saying he struggled to get down to 160. If he was dedicated he'd not be struggling to get down to MW, he'd be campaigning at LMW. Not sure I was persuaded by his claims last night that he'd had a wake-up call. He should be fighting every four months and staying in the gym between bouts if he wants to make the most of his talent.

It has been said on here that all the cowards in this division are waiting GGG out,I'm calling it now that this will be another reason the GGG v Canelo fight won't happen in Sep,Canelo probably wanted this belt as a bargaining tool and on the back of this and the way BJS is so inactive Canelo v Saunders won't happen before Sep but that's what they wanted anyway, nobody in that division wants GGG not Jacobs,Canelo or Saunders or Eubank, they're all pathetic cause if they're not good enough to challenge GGG what good are they doing the division

I honestly don't rate either of the two wins that highly. Especially Chris Eubank, who at the time was completely unproven and looked shook by the occassion.

Billy Joe Saunders clearly won the fight by at least two rounds. I see lard ass Dan Rafael the fat fuk is talking **** again on Twitter.

Tbh I'm glad people are now slating Saunders after one off night when he spent a year out the ring and seems to have split with his long term coach.

Just means his odds will be shorter now in future bouts so more money to be made by backing him. Made decent money betting on him against Lee and Eubank and will do again against Canelo or Jacobs because, rest assured, he still outboxes the **** out of both.
