Billy Joe Saunders vs. Canelo Alvarez.

I think Canelo is more skilled but naturally and noticeably smaller and BJS is at least evenly matched against Canelo athletically, if not superior. And in the skills department, I don't think Canelo is far superior to BJS, just slightly more skilled. I think BJS would win UD 8/9 rounds to 4/3.

 

Depends on who the judges are.

BJS is a tricky and slick southpaw. Has Canelo ever faced a tricky slick southpaw who was bigger than him?

 

Canelo by Ud. BJS is overated.

 

Canelo had lead in his feet and he gasses out. BJS by dec if the judges are fair.

 

Bjs underrated for years. Bjs by decision said that for years.

 

To go with his superior movement, BJ knows how to use his length as well. tough fight to pick. Hard to go against canelo in this. Skill-wise these two are pretty close to par. Alvarez has had a tougher schedule, more styles and adversity to go through.

 

BJS would control the fight from the outside.

Canelo has slow feet. He'd be smart to avoid Jacobs, and Bill.

 

BJS might get inside his head if Canelo could understand English ! So BJS can say what he likes at the press conference or should his gym get crashed again but it wont rock Canello
Canello would need 20% more head and foot movement to beat BJS in some of his fights it is almost like the tape has stopped sometimes he just freezes for a split second

Would be a great fight if it happened. Saunders should take it on points but Canelo has surprised me i didnt think he would be so competitive against the top 160 pounders but he gave Golovkin arguably his toughest fight, and he is a much better fighter than Lemieux.

Though Canelo could time him and get a k.o.

A one trick pony in Khan was making Canelo look terrible. Similar speed, coupled with gypsy craftiness could sink Canelo.

However theres always the chance Saunders gets fat, again.

 

If Saunders shows up in shape I see him winning a decision. He's got a clear style advantage with his movement and he won't do what Lara did and be overly negative.

 

I agree, and if people weighed it up I think they would see the obvious. BJS on form is a cont to fight. He could turn out really really special still !
