I gotta get up early so going to bed soon, if you reply I'll get back in the morning. Just because fighters with excellent jabs have lost fights in the past......... If you roll the dice enough you're gonna get double 6's at some point.

Every fighter you listed under the "not known for a prominent jab" list, none of them had a bad jab, and they all had one thing that is almost a prerequisite if you wanna be world-class but not have a world-class jab: transcendent athleticism. Fighters can disregard it all they want, but it will never make them better. A great jab though can take an ordinary athlete or fighter to heights otherwise unattainable.

I know how points are scored in the AM's, I've fought in the AM's before. There is a very obvious difference between the pro's and AM's - the AM's boxing is more of a sport and the pro's it's more a fight.

You're a good dude man, but you got the good old jabski wrong brother.......

Effective aggression, ring generalship, defense, and clean hard punches are the four most prominent scoring criteria in pro boxing, everyone values them differently. Canelo showed NO aggression in the fight.

I've never met another person that is anywhere close to me in the all-or-nothing category, and that's usually a good thing for them. I mean, I'm not even gonna bother walking to the plate if I'm not swinging for the fences, the end just doesn't justify the means, so believe me, I love me some power punches, but I wasn't even allowed to compete until I showed I could take a pretty good jab into the ring with me.

For the 100th time since I started posting 4 years ago, although I'll slightly adjust my old prediction of Saunders of 3 or 4 years ago UD's Canelo but gets robbed, Saunders 2.0 shuts him out bell to bell and actually wins by SD now.

Saunders would out box El Pollo, but El Pollo is a runner also, that is when he fights a legit fighter................Golovkin would be the wrong style for Saunders, he comes forward and cuts off the ring!

Saunders would make Canelo look like a fool. Box circles around him and make him look like a novice. Very bad style match up for the rather slow footed Canelo.

Oscar will never allow El Pollo to fight Saunders, of course, if they were to fight Saunders would have to knock El Pollo out to get a draw! Oscar owned the judges, referee, boxing commission, etc.

Oscar will never allow El Pollo to fight Saunders, Golovkin, Lara, Trout, and El Pollo is a chicken because he doesn't take challenges.

He is also feather fisted and has lead in his feet.

Yes, we know, you and the GGGoons talk about it everyday.

Facts are facts! The 3 judges for the rematch will be Byrd, Byrd and Byrd.......referee will be Tony Weeks so El Pollo can land testicle blows..............

Oscar can easily invest in an Olympic Gold Medalist & promote a future ATG, but he is still angry at the Mexican pesantry that turned against him after the Tito fight.

The Mexican top star is Micky Ward, Mexicans & everyone else miss the days of the Great Oscar De La Hoya, Bob Arum was a great promoter...Those Oscar posters were indiscriminately decorating many walls, sincerely favored all thru the American demographic spectrum circa 1995-1999, Thanks again Bob Arum

I do think its a nice fight.... I think Canelos athleticism and explosiveness can make it pretty interesting, but I cant really pick against Saunders in this one. Imo, its up to him to win or lose it.

    Saunders UD

I just hope the fight is able to be made. Regardless if Canelo wins or loses against G, I think a Saunders fight makes sense.

Canelo's gonna win by 8th round TKO. He'll walk Saunders down, go to the body and when Saunders gets worn down Canelo will start to time him with uppercuts and stop him.

Saunders has the movment to trouble Canelo but i just don't see him winning, Canelo will eventually get to him. But if Saunders proves me wrong credit to him

Lol you love digging up old threads aye. This one didn’t age well. From what I’m reading, Isal the only person to pick Canelo?

I always thought BJS had a chance but wasn’t on Canelo’s level. However this thread was in 2017 and I don’t think Canelo was as elite as he is now.
