Out of interest what do you think their jurisdiction is for ruling a breach of contract? I get they would have the final say regarding a straight-up unambiguous failed test with A + B being positive but how are they making the final ruling on a contract drawn up between two promoters?

 

They wouldn't, their only concern is the granting of a license. Any dispute over a fight contract would be settled in a court of law. The court in question will be stipulated in the contract itself.

 

But the way i have read it, a breach of contract is their grounds for refusing the licence, not because of a failed test which the athlete must provide adverse readings for both 'A' and 'B' samples for it to be deemed as such. You see the ambiguity, right?

I know this is a much easier way to get a title on one of his fighters, but I can't see Hearn being thrilled that the MASS commission just ruined his main event & possibly torpedoed his whole show.
