Agree with all this. Kalambay was brilliant in outboxing Herol Graham ,Barkley and Sims and Dewitt. And he did all this as a veteran approaching his mid 30s.A true master.

Nunn easily beat Iran and there was never a time in that fight that Nunn was looking like he was going to lose even though he was essentially just going through the motions.

Billy is simply too slick for Iran and way too fast.
Go look at Iran vs Tinley where he was out boxed but got the decision.
Go look at Sanderline Williams who was out boxing Iran and lost a close fight.

    It wasn’t an easy win.

It was a simple win where Nunn played around way too much.
There was never a time where it looked like Nunn was going to lose.

Sanderline Williams was a gatekeeper with very good ability.

He gave some top names competitive fights.

Billy could have beaten Iran, but it wouldn’t have been easy.

You can’t say he’d have been too slick, when he’s struggled with Eubank and a few Euro level fighters etc.

    The point is:

    It was a competitive.

    Look at Michael’s gifts.

Yet it wasn’t easy, where he easily beat him like Toney did.

Nunn hit Iran with 50% of the punches he threw while Barkley through almost a 1000 punches and landed only 25%.
Nunn won at least 8 rounds and the rounds he lost it was because he was playing around.

Barkley was on the way down when he fought James.
Nunn played with Iran and that is why everyone was pissed.
Billy was way too fast for Iran its that simple.
Hell I remember JORGE AMPARO beating up Iran only to get robbed. Hell Amparo literally chased Iran out of the ring.

Sanderline Williams gave Benn, Toney, close fights and he was only stopped once on a cut I believe he was no mug.

I had Barkley winning vs Amparo by 1 point but his style has little to no resemblance to Saunders you seem to get a bee in your bonnet with some fighters like Qawi, Barkley, everytime they're mentioned you discredit them.

Also you may look at Amparo's record and think he's a bad fighter but in actual fact he was put in the deep end very early in his career against some very notable names. And if you actually look at some of those fights they were competitive decisions hence he's better than what you may think when you glance at his record.

Here's some of the notable fighters Amparo went the distance with.

    Michael Nunn
    James Kinchen scored a draw
John Jarvis 15-0 Pro debut for Amparo.
    Iran Barkley
    Nigel Benn
    Lindell Holmes
    Milton McCrory

I wonder how many boxers would beat those fighters or go the distance with them with less than 10 or 20 professional fights which Amparo was having to do.

Amparo won that fight and chased Barkley everywhere around the ring.
Amparo had what 14/15 fights when he went in vs Barkley?
You can glorify all you want about Amparo but he was in opponent brought in to get beat up by name boxers and here is Iran going life and death with him.
Saunders is the absolute WORST style you could pick for Iran.

Your missing the entire point - Williams isn't a southpaw with blazing hand speed and movement which Saunders was.

Amparo got a draw vs James Kinchen and went the distance in competitive decisions vs most of the notable fighters he fought. He was put in with arguably the toughest set of opponents any fighter has ever had to face after only 10 or 20 professional fights that is a very significant bit of context that you are leaving out.

    I know he was.

    That's not the point.

I'm saying that Nunn didn't put on a clinic like that.

    That's fine.

But I can remember Billy barely beating Artur Akavov and a young, pre-prime Chris Eubank.
