Hearns wasn’t an A+ win. His chin was a liability at 160 and he was pretty washed up for the rematch and at the wrong weight. Roldan almost did what Barkley did. It’s not really a resume comparison. Barkley has a long history of struggling with and losing to counterpunchers and it’s unlikely that he’d ko BJS.
I actually liked Virgil Hill in that all he had was a jab and movement and through dedication to his craft was able to become a World Champion. I think the magnitude of the fight really messed with Hill and while I do not think the outcome would have changed I think Hill would have performed much better. It amazes me that people are taken aback by Tommy Loughran who was a master boxer with a rapier jab and Hill was basically the same type boxer but gets labeled as "boring".
