Jack took Degale’s prime. He’s a good resume patter now.

In his defense, he did sign for unification fight. Twice.

Golovkin is basically messing around with him like Canelo did with Golovkin.

signing (if he in fact did) isn’t the same as actually showing up for the fight. Golovkin to my knowledge has never backed out of one. Saunders should be stripped for the Murray nonsense.

He didnt back out, he just took Canelo over Saunders twice.
We can only guess if Saunders wouldve pulled out or not if Golovkin chose him.

This would be dull... BJS to take it though as Degale is done (and was massively overrated to begin with)

I always tought that Degale is too open defense wise. As for Saunders this fight might be a challenge for Saunders, so we might see a good performance from him.

I like this. BJS should win. Winner fights Groves...

    This.
Any other fight for DeGale would be BS.
Unless Uzcategui accepts some step aside deal.

tbf Tom Loefler did come out and say BJS accepted and signed a contract, the venue and date were sorted (Aug 25th @ The Forum) and GGG signed to fight Canelo in a rematch instead

I thought the general feeling used to be that BJS should train harder and fight at 154?

don't think so mate. He's got quite a big frame. He'd move up to smw quite easily. But there's not many decent fights there.

    Why should he be stripped?
Saunders was not obligated to fight Murray. And if Saunders faked his injury to sign another fight, it's up to Murray to take action. (which would end in monetary compensation, but the title would stay with Saunders)

I think the opposite. Saunders is stagnating at MW waiting for a Golovkin/Canelo fight which may never come. At SMW there are domestic (but still world level) clashes like Degale or Groves.

Last time warren mentioned it he said a catch weight, I think if billy goes all the way up he won’t be able to come back down he’s had a hard enough time as it is making 160.

I can’t see warren wanting to lose the wbo though that his and Billy’s meal ticket to try and get the huge money fight against canelo golovkin winner maybe go up but agree a deal to keep the wbo belt and move back down but as I said at start of post that could spell disaster for billy joe but if he stayed at 168 there are some big money domestic fights at super middle.

Degale will be all over this fight though it will clearly be a bigger pay day than uzcategui plus without the danger of a huge knockout loss so maybe he will just drop his belt and do it at a catch weight. Anyway my prediction is billy joe on points.
