Billy Joe Saunders vs. Tommy Hearns, who you got?

You do know that BJS is not a 5'5" Panam-Mexican moving up from 130?

He is a big Middleweight, Hearns is a Welterweight. BJS is bigger and taller than Hagler, BJS is undefeated, with an iron chin. Why would I pick Hearns to beat BJS, its possible Hearns might be able to outbox him at spots or at worse most of the fight, but BJS can also turn it to a slugfest & Hearns loses due to his weaker punch resistance. Undefeated Middleweight champion BJS has to be the favorite, we never saw him lose, not even flinch from a punch...We saw Hearns hurt by smaller guys

Hearn and Hagler are proven ATG, Saunders just graduated from Regional fighter to B level.

Have to say Hearns. He was a superb boxer himself, and given Saunders' light-to-middling power, Tommy's greatest flaw, his chin, is probably safe. Saunders on the other hand has to worry not just about Hearns' boxing, but his crushing, sickening power as well. I'd like to see a little more of Saunders 2.0 before I start declaring him better than a guy like Hearns, who is an ATG. If he can replicate what he did against Lemmy with GGG and Canelo, then I'll buy a ticket on the Gypsy Express.

Its better to give BJS proper credit, so if Canelo fights him (not sure if BJS makes deals), then Canelo has a future...hopefully your boss can read this...so he can ask you to stop...I am just stating facts, I am really not trying to annoy you, I am aware of how emotional you are & I gain nothing from annoying you.

 

I'm pretty sure I just saw IsaL the other day put BJS as the #4 MW. That's pretty high. And I actually agree.

What are we supposed to label Canelo as? barely two title defenses of his middleweight belt?

BJS is still Elite level, same as Canelo...Whenever they get in the ring, we will find out how their styles match up...No point of stressing yourself over it (the main issue), everybody on the forum knows why you are stressed over this, not because Hagler or Hearns, your agenda is very narrow & limited...we get it, your boss is proud of you

 

Canelo / Saunders might just be a cumulative masterpiece of slick boxing ... or it could be the most boring fart of a fight with little to nothing landed and much circling around. I'd still watch it though.

 

We might be doing the wrong thing encouraging BCS to continue evolving into a Cory Spinks, Canelo also becomes negative if out-boxed, which will lead to single digit punches landed per a round.

Obviously the sleek Billy Joe Saunders would dominate and outclass Hearns as he is the greatest Middleweight ever. Wake up and smell the coffee guys, Hearns will win by brutal assasination. Even BJS is not silly enough to think he could beat Hearns.

 

He's to rangy and fleet footed for the stubby Canelo. Its got UD written all over it imo. BJS is gonna look special for a few fights yet. Him and Ingle seem to be a special combo
