Hearns can still whack at 160, but I wouldn't be surprised if Saunders took the natural 154lb Hearns out late. I know Hearns is an ATG but he don't run through everyone at 160, especially someone employing that elusive style Saunders has and does very well ! 154 I pick Hearns over anyone, but hes facing a big middle with confidence and skills here, and excellent reflex's
I've actually got no problem with Saunders finally shining, even though I'm going to be cheering for Golovkin. It's just a masterpiece of irony that the guy that they were treating as the official belt polisher might just whip them all. And I'm part of the crowd that assumed "Well, GGG just needs to unify and then after taking Saunders' belt he will ..." Taking that belt might be just a little harder than a formality, it seems. Although. Although, to be fair to myself and the other boxing fundies, BJS has never really shown that he can be consistently world class and capable of this level. I'm glad he's finally caught fire.
FFS I cant believe anyone would vote for Saunders against Hearns, or call Hagler a Midget!!! They are obviously just having a joke with you all, no-one in their right mind would think this
GGG is my favourite fighter, I think hes what boxing should be all about. My memory tells me Saunders didn't want no part of GGG a few fights ago(like Canelo), even mentioning he beats me and Eubank on the same night(i'm sure you've seen the press conference for jnr and Saunders). Now after GGG I want Saunders to do well as hes british, but I've got no doubt in my mind he wanted nothing to do with GGG a few fights ago, and had no desire for boxing had a little to do with GGG. Hes a classic example of someone getting braver and braver with every poor performance or under par showing by GGG, its crystal clear. He wants GGG bad now, because hes all of a sudden back in love with the game and he has the nerve to say G only wanted him because he wasn't in love with the game, NO Billy, you weren't on any ****ers radar as you were seen as just an average belt holder that they can always fight when the money fights are done and out the way. Now I am a fan of BJS and he has caught fire and found his confidence, but i'm not falling for the Gypsy bollox off of him ! He has waited out GGG like Fishnets bumboy !
Times change fast, this can apply to BJS. So from now on if a handler wants to re-invent his boxer as some master boxer, match him with a popular slugger that he can outbox...Not an easy task, but BJS did it, all credit deserved
Surely this is a Joke....Saunders goes Ok and obviously would be in the Top 4 Middleweights at the moment... but should not be mentioned in the same Breath as Hearns...
I cannot believe boneheads actually voted Saunders. I wasn't on this forum at the time but Im guessing Saunders got a sh*t ton of unwarranted hype after beating mediocre Lemieux.
